Get to know Me
Hi! I'm Zack. Nice to meet you.
I'm a 30-something dad to an awesome 3-year-old girl, Larkin, and husband to my high school sweetheart, Hillary. We've been together for 18 years and married for 10.
I'm a sports fan through and through. I'm usually wearing something with Florida State on it and I also pull for Kennesaw State (my alma mater) in all sports. I love soccer, though I never played. I pull for Liverpool across the pond and have Atlanta United season tickets. I'm a big Braves fan (all my groomsmen got personalized jerseys as their gift from me). I pull for the Falcons, but I'm not that big of an NFL guy. Still, there's nothing better than high school sports and Friday Night Lights.
Oh, yeah, you're here for photography. Anyway, I first picked up a camera sometime around middle school and, like much like going to the gym, I've put it down and picked it back up tons of times throughout the MANY years since. After college, I shot for a few years while covering high school sports as a writer. A stint in the corporate world took the camera out of my hands for a few years before I picked it back up again in a return to covering sports.
Then, in a move that still baffles me, a friend of mine (Christine Harper Photography — you should check her out!) asked me to second-shoot a few weddings with her throughout her 2025 season and I was hooked from the jump! Getting to be part of someone's special day and being trusted to be the one preserving those memories is such an honor.
If you're looking for someone who doesn't take that honor lightly, is cool under pressure and can go with the flow, but can also build a timeline and make sure the day stays on track, I would love to speak with you.

Why I do this
Simply put: to connect with you. To be able to tell the story of this chapter in your life and, hopefully, future chapters as you and your family grow.
my editing style
I would characterize my editing style as a true-to-color. I want your photos to look as close to what I see on the day we took them. I believe that is a timeless feel that will allow you to look back at your photos and still appreciate them rather than possibly regretting following a trendy style of the time.
Fun Facts about me
Let's see:
- I was put out of my 3rd grade spelling bee for misspelling "macaroni." I added an extra 'R'.
- I can touch my tongue to the tip of my nose.
- I once used the Heimlich maneuver to save a guy choking on a jelly donut in a grocery store parking lot.
Can't wait to meet you and hear your story
